MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW) is an online database of virtually all MIT courseware. MIT course materials include lecture notes, exams, and videos and are free and available for anyone to use. There are currently 1900 courses available and no registration is required to view the materials. The Highlights for High School section of the OCW features materials that are most useful for high school students and teachers.

Teachers can use this site to introduce science concepts with video demonstrations by MIT instructors, study materials for AP exams, extra credit materials, exam questions, and resources to build their own knowledge. Course materials available include: biology, chemistry, computers and electronics, engineering, foreign languages, math, media, music, the arts, physical education, physics, social sciences, and writing and literature.

Students can use the OCW to study for AP exams, watch MIT competitions such as the Autonomous Robot Design competition, and watch MIT professors demonstrate concepts they’ve learned in class. It’s also a glimpse into the level of coursework required at the college level. Use this outstanding free resource to enhance the learning experience in your own classroom.
