Intel is currently accepting applications for its prestigious Intel Schools of Distinction awards. Awards are given to schools that demonstrate exemplary instruction and innovative learning environments in math and science. Eighteen finalists are chosen from the applications three in each grade group: K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Each finalist will receive $5000 from the Intel Foundation and a trip to Washington D.C. for the awards ceremony.
From the eighteen finalists, six schools will receive awards with one of the six schools being selected as the Star Innovator. Each of the six schools will receive $10,000 and more than $100,000 in products and services from the program award sponsors. The Star Innovator will receive an additional $15,000 cash grant and additional program awards and services from sponsor.
If you have an innovative math or science program and your school could benefit from $25,000 visit Intel to submit your application. Applications will be accepted until February 17, 2011.
